Hi ...Found (was it ever lost?)  the utility program Defarea20 which can remove those unwanted roads and lamps among other things. Very simple to use and very effective......many of you will no doubt have heard  of it but for those who haven't and need to get rid of this type of object it is just magic............commoner Wink

Thanks again Paul and Dave for putting me on the right track Wink

That sounds like something that may help.
I have used FlattEx trying expand the open area around
a grass strip, so I can up-grade it into a deceint rural air field,
but all I would get is " x-point is too far East, North, South..".
Sure sounds better than FlattEX.  Any thoughts? Huh

..mmm...it's not what you want for the  FLATTENING  process..it's an EXCLUDE utility for getting rid of roads , lampposts pylons etc which can't be got rid of by the usual programs which remove trees, houses etc...

I tried Flattex too and found it very messy adding to the scenery.cfg file....advised by members here I now use Flattenbgl...this produces a .bgl file which you just put into wherever you find is suitable...it is nice because you can flatten areas of all shapes not just rectangles........

Try Excludebgl for those odd trees and other things that seem to grow where you don't want them...........this as it says produces a .bgl, much nicer than messing with the scenery.cfg.

Hope this helps....commoner Smiley
