Hey all,

After not being patient enough to "build my own world" with X-Plane, I partitioned the hard drive on my new 24" Intel based iMac, installed Windows XP, and of course FSX. My question is: I have messed with the settings page on FSX, and am getting an incredibly grainy look. I have a 24" screen, which may be the cause. If so, do I have a screen resolution option on FSX?

I know it's a FSX issue, because I get a better picture when I use X-Plane. I've adjusted the Windows XP screen resolution, but it has little effect on the FSX graphics. ANY suggestions you could give to help me would be great. My graphics are nowhere close to some of the screenshots I've seen on this forum.

Thanks!

Here's the specs on my iMac:
2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme
2GB memory
500GB hard drive1
8x double-layer SuperDrive
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory

You could try the FSX settings menu, when you fist start FSX and ingame too.  You can independantly set the screen resolution in there.  I think the default is 1024*768 unless it varies from machine to machine.  I have a Mac Mini but don`t use it for FSX, its the pre Intel version.
