No reason to get bent out of shape. The mods probably had their reason for moving it...

Come Guys...this is NO different than asking about a Joystick and FSX! There Are plenty of THOSE questions on this area! AND the Exact same question isposted in FS2004 and seems to have NO problem! I'm asking about how Track IR works with FSX.....I'm sure there are FSX users out there that can give me some insight.

It's NOT software....It's a hardware device, and by looking at OTHER websites it seems to be different with different applications! I want others opinions from the two FS sims I use, FSX and FS9.....is that TOO much to ask.....I mean they can ask about different Joysticks and their use in the FSX and FS9 forum...why not this piece of hardware? Yeeah there are other "Freeware" programs out there, but that's NOT waht I'm asking about. I'm specifically asking about a piece of hardware and if ANYONE is using it with FSX and what their experience with it is!
Instead I get a kid with a mission that thinks he's making a statement. I didn't PAY to be on this site to be treated like this.

Hey, I am no kid!
I am 40 years old and been doing this for over 4 years.
You don't like the rules and how we (I) run this site, you are free to do what you like.
As for acting like a kid, you should talk as it is a simple move and you have taken it personally.
Let me know how you want to proceed because I have a few options that may suit you!

It WAS very simple! I was trying to ask FSX and ONLY FSX users what if any experiences they has with a HARDWARE device AND that program. NOT about the device itself, the device being used with that program. SO what better place to ask but with the people who are using FSX. BUT someone decides to make things more complicated by moving to a place where it won't be seen by the current FSX users. WHY? This is an FSX related question...and what REALLY gets me is I use other flight sims and asked the SAME question on the others sims area...it doesn't seem to be a problem there?

Well maybe they can answer your question better there.
Sad that if you are older than me how you present yourself. Annoyed and "really pissed" that a simple thread was moved to where it belonged. I don't care if you use Track IR in FSX, TrackIR is a payware product, see here as others know where to post the question!

Oh my 13 replies on that one!
We move threads here because it makes our site run smoother and have questions answered quicker.
Like I said, sad that having a post moved makes you so angry, maybe you should have some cake!

ummmm....you registered in May 2006......now, I'm not too hot at Maths, but that's under two years in anyone's books
I was wondering, if it is an item of hardware should it be moved to the payware, or the hardware forum.....?

Hello Rayzor,
I'm sorry to see you are upset by your post being moved.
If you've been using this site for over 4 years you will be very aware that we really DO try to make this a place that is easy to use. Part fo that is keeping our forums categorised. The Hardware or payware forums can apply to FSX & what we try to do here is 2 things
1. Keep the postings in the forum where they are most appropriate & therefore will get the best answer - totally different from getting the most views, which is irrelevant.
2. Keep the relevant threads as pure to what they are supposed to be about. For example if we let the FSX forum get biogged down with FSX payware threads it would be offputting to most as they would see it being all about what they don't want.
Those who are interested in Payware will visit payware, hardware/hardware, etc, etc.
It's not about how many people may view your post - it's about the quality of the answer you get . 200 views is nothing if you don't get your answer quickly & helpfully.
That is what it's all about & what we are trying to do.

Yeah, what pete said..
Razor, sorry you were upset with the move, it is nothing personal at all. And I don't mind your reaction to it as the important thing is that your question gets answered.
And by the way, having a post moved is sometime more helpful as you now have the question asked in two different forums
Good Luck!!
Signed..

Rayzor - you may be older, but you're acting WAY younger.
Generally we will move a post to wherever we think the post will get a better, or more appropriate answer... in OUR opinion, which in this case, differs from yours.
Personally, *I* would have moved it to the hardware forum

Screaming and shouting at the management will NEVER help your cause. Nor does making threats, all it does is alienate people. And as most of us here like helping out alienating us will leave you feeling very lonely indeed 'cos people will say "Oh no not that individual again"
Try being polite and accepting the forum rules, you'll make far better progress here and in life

Well, I can see the fellow's point. He has a problem with a product in FS-X, so logically, that's where he posts.
However, in many cases, the mods will move it to the forum *we* think is better for the particular post. There may be cases where "by rights" the post "should be" in another board, but if the topic is so unique, it remains in the original board.

I understand that it relates to FS, many of the FSX Payware references & FSX Hardware references are posted in the FSX forum.
The thing is that there are specific forums where questions will get answered. The people using TRack IR have paid for it. Therefore somebody who has paid for it will be familiar with it and be able to answer the questions better. Track IR really does not pertain to the vast users of FSX, therefore it was moved to payware where many of us have answered Rayzors questions. Believe it or not, the Payware forum is quite active and there are many of us who frequent it.
As pete has told us, he has created each forum so the questions asked will get answered by those who know the answers. That is all. There is no reason to take a "post move" personally as we are only trying to help the best we can, that is it.
I have spoken to Rayzor and even tried to answer his questions.
http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1200948982
There are no hard feelings here.
With that, let's end this on a positive note and leave this be.
Thanks,
Dave
