A few days ago, I was asked (while running an application) to update my drivers. So, I downloaded and installed the update. This update also changed the Nvidia control panel.

Without making it too complicated...with my old drivers, I could just simply hover the cursor over Antialiasing settings, a new menu would open, and I could select my highest setting and my aircraft in FS9 would look great.

However, since the update of my drivers, I am no longer able to do this. So, I looked around the new Nvidia control panel and found that if I went into 3D settings, I could change my antialiasing there.

But uhh...well, when I load up FS9, its plain obvious that antialiasing has not come into effect at all.

Is there anything I'm missing on the Nvidia control panel that will allow my antialiasing to take effect? Don't want FS to look like it got hit with a shovel  Undecided

Welcome to the new world of Nvidia where they try to control your game and life and not let you make changes

You need to start here:

http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1163028653/165#171

read that one and the next one down about Nhancer... and then follow the Nhancer directions carefully... it will work fine after that.

Ive had the same problem when i updated my drivers, so i reverted to the old ones that came with the card, if i update and use the nHancer to set AA will the new drivers make that much of a difference?

Yes

If you follow my directions to the letter

and everyone should try 8xS even if you are on a slower card. If you feel its too much set it to 4xS but make SURE you change it from the profile and the global settings in Nhancer and do not mess with the Nv Control panel, EXCEPT to set VSync to FORCE ON and the montior to "single display mode performance" if you only use one display.

I can really agree with putting 8xS on in favour of 4x, it sharpened up my sim a shedload and ive only lost 3-4fps
