Here are some shots I took with my Nikon Coolpix from the Audubon Airways flight breakfast back in June. This marked my grandpas retirement from managing the airport, and the NOAA weather service. Unfortunately the weather sucked. They are not in order.
Piper Cub taking off into clearing skies
I was standing back at the house when I took this one and thought the lighting was heavenly
Lancair 300 taking off. Short story: I flew this one the previous August with my uncle on a ferry flight
A close look at the Cub. Beautifully restored
A second shot of the Cub taking off
Glad I finally had the patience to post these, more to come, hope you enjoyed them.

Didn't want to get it dirty I suppose. I've seen people take off from the grass before.
