Hey guys/ladies.
Well I have some leftover money and I'm looking to enhance my FS experience. Thought maybe TrackIR was a good idea, but I need to hear some feedback first. So, what are your opinions on the product if you own it or if you have ever tried it?

I have it, and I cannot fly without it. It completely changed the flight simulator experience for me (for the better). It's like going from flying with the keyboard to using a joystick.

What do I have to buy? Is it just this

or do I have to buy anything else?

That is all you will need.
It works flawlessly in FS9 but in FSX you will need to hit the F9 key to "pause track IR" when in the spot view. Kind of a PITA.

Are you flying FS9 or FSX?

Wasn't there a Freeware application that used your webcam to track head movements? I've never personally tried it, but apparently, it was quite good

I ordered a couple of weeks ago and it arrived about two days ago. I've been using it just flying around for fun, but not on a serious flight yet. I'll do that maybe sometime during the week, perhaps monday evening when I have some time. But so far, it's looking good, although I must admit that the first day was very annoying trying to get everything set up correctly (including having to move my monitor closer to me so that the desk top doesn't cover the sensor), but most of it was my stupidity lol.
Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

What will be the requirements for FS11?? Intel quad @ 3.00, 4 GBs RAM, 1gig Video card and 1Tb hard disk???

You know in FSX when in spot view you will need to hit F9 to pause it, correct?

In 3 or 4 years, I bet that won't seem so farfetched.
