He knows that it won't happen (McLaren winning their appeal & Him retiring because Lewis is handed the title) so it's a bit of an empty threat.
Now if it was Max who'd said that I'd be hoping Ron wins...

I agree 100%, just another reaction grabbing remark from him. I think that Max's remarks about Jackie Stewart would have been better directed at someone else (Bernie's fashion sense makes Jackie Stewart look look an Armani model
