I have installed Scenery shortcut and got it working.

I can import scenery, place it where i need it, rotate it, slew it, etc etc... i know the ins and outs of using the program

EXCEPT

when i save my "mission file" and "convert" the scenery i reload flight simulator and there is NOTHING THERE just the same bare grass strip with NONE of the scenery i just spent an hour editing.

this has happened to me at least 5 or 6 times... at about 30 minutes to an hour of editing EACH time

if someone could explain to me how to get scenery shortcut to actually make the scenery show up after i have finished editing...

you will be my hero!!!

OK gentlemen

I am my own hero  Grin

Apparently Scenery Shortcut with Vista differs substantially than from XP... all of the videos and readme file is geared for XP users.

When you use the scenery shortcut program to create the .bgl file, the program indicates that it saved the .bgl file in your FSX add on scenery folder, when in fact it saves it in User\Documents\Flight Simulator X

the trick is to move the .bgl file from this documents location into the correct addon scenery folder in the FSX directory

it took me FOREVER to figure out what i was doing wrong... which was basically following the instructions "to the t" when i should have been thinking outside the box considering the fact that im using vista and not XP

maybe this will help someone else?
