Beautiful weather last Sunday so I went for a little tour around my home county of West Sussex. It's a bit early for the full beauty of the Autumn foliage but pretty just the same.
Parham House
is an Elizabethan country house set in 300 acres of ancient deer park. I posted photos of a stroll through here last year but it's a beautiful spot & always worth another visit.
The Southdown Gliding Club airfield is just behind those trees.
Not sure what the building is. It's just outside the walled kitchen garden. That would be Kithurst Hill in the background.
I stopped off at Arundel on the way home. This should be a blaze of colour in the next few days unless strong winds blow the leaves off the trees. This area was devastated in the 'Great Storm' of 1987 - 20 years ago this month.
View from the river bank of Arundel Castle in the evening sunshine.
Just a little further up the road at the Black Rabbit pub.

I do love your photo tours of our Southern parts Doug... I've only managed to get down there once this year; a very short, rain interrupted, day trip to Brighton
These remind me of what I'm missing
