Starting off my major Japan photo spam with a few taken from airports and flights...

I flew with Korean Air;

Outbound;
Heathrow - Seoul - Kansai

Inbound;
Narita - Seoul - Heathrow

I had a window seat for 3/4 flights....on the final flight my seat was stolen by my teacher....but I got the isle....the next best thing Wink

One last piece of advice.....If you like nice food I wouldnt fly Korean.....their BipbimBap or whatever thay call it really isnt that good.....and serving a fish salad for breakfast?????? Oh well.....at least the FAs were nice and polite Smiley

Heathrow - Seoul

Over the Mongolian deserts
...

And China
...

On approach to Incheon.....possibly one of the best moments of my life....knowing I was about to get off the 12 hour flight....seriously....long haul isn't cool Cheesy....especially when you have a Korean bloke sitting next to you asking you stuff in Korean.....
...      ...

Seoul - Kansai

Just the one piccie of this flight as it quickly went dark Wink
...

Narita - Seoul

I love eastern airports....so much different traffic Cheesy

Nice cargo ramp line up....
...

Oh to be on that comforting British aircraft....
...

For the first leg (to Seoul) I had a window seat in the last row.....meaning uber legroom as the seating goes into a 2-4-2 rather than a 3-4-3 to accomodate the curve of the fuselage....lots of extra room at the side Smiley
...

See part 2 Smiley

Hehehe...I know that feeling...the, we've landed, everyones deplaning, but my legs wont work properly....makes long hauls so much fun Grin

So how is the leg room on Korean in standard economy?  In the area of your LHR-ICN flight.  Korean Air is looking like a possibility for my next trip to Taiwan, but trying to do better research on airlines as to not repeat the 14.5 hour (x2) Malaysian hell incident Tongue

I bet your arms are tired!

Great pictures, I really like the first one.  Something about being high over the Gobi just sounds cool. Cool Wink

Not bad! Shame about those dirty airline windows.

Don't suppose you got a chance to visit any lovely JASDF bases on your travels?

Hi Mic

I've not been able to keep up with all the threads, what were you in Japan for?

I know you like to feel independant and use public transport when you can, but is this not taking it to extremes?  Wink Grin
