Hey,

I have been on this for two hours. I CAN'T the Traffic ToolBox into FSX. I have re installed the SDK and the SDK SP1A and FSX SP1A multiple times and tried every little thing in the dll.xml that I possibly could. I had it working before I re-installed the OS and now I just can't get it working. Can anyone help?

Thanks,

This affects certain users, I too had it prior to SP1.  Since I wiped the drive and reinstalled its gone.  I too tried every trick in the book.  I`m led to believe Aces know their is a problem with Sim Connect, leading to this fault and its being worked on.  Just a waiting game.....

Wait... so I won't be able to use the Traffic Toolbox? I have Acceleration if that helps, forgot to add that in there.

The Acceleration add on makes no difference to the problem, one way or the other.  Its a sim connect problem and effects more than just the toolbox unfortunately.  Not a lot can be done at the moment.  Even replacing sim connect does nothing.

Hey,

I saw on a forum that there is an Acceleration SDK in the disk, I never knew about that! I installed it and it works fine now.

Thanks,

That may be the fix they were working on, they said some things have been sorted now.  Don`t get our release until November 2nd.

No, the "problem" is simply a version mismatch between the fsx.exe, the various Dynamic Link Libraries (.dll) and the SDK.  Everytime FSX is updated, ACES will release a new SDK, and SxS SimConnect .dll that must be installed.

Aces themselves said it was sim connect at fault, and they were working on it.  If a new sim connect is included in Accelleration and this works for quite a few people then the chances are they fixed it.
