im running vista and i have a saitek cyborg evo joystick, 512m 8600GTS card and 2gb RAM

im looking for a good game to play that involves flying (preferably modern jets, and downloadable extras would be nice too), shooting, and multiplayer so i can shoot down some friends online

i have CFS3 but vista doesnt allow for the multiplayer.

so, any ideas? i was looking at Lock-On: Gold... but i dunno, i could do with some other suggestions.

must be vista and XP compatible

cheers

FSX has (easier) multiplayer, but is tough on %99.99 of systems. FS9 has a multiplayer that uses IP Addresses to connect which is slightly more complicated. I have never used FS9 Multiplayer because I recently got rid of fsx and got fs9. You could get good FPS with FS9/FS2004. I'm pretty sure there aren't any dogfights in FS9 OR FSX. There are many addons for FS9 and a handfull for FSX.

Bottom line: FS9/FS2004 is the way to go. Unless you really want something with dogfights, then your on your own. Cheesy

Yup, Lock On Modern Air Combat.  It's very good.  Also consider Falcon 4.0 Allied Force.  It's dated, don't know if it'll run on vista, don't know about multiplayer, but it's simply THE most detailed and accurate sim out there.

LOMAC is the way to go. Wink  Either get the Gold edition, or get LOMAC and the Flaming Cliffs add-on (same as Gold, just two separate discs, instead of the one package). Wink
