The installer is asking me to map it to the FS9.exe application, but whenever I try, the program fails to map, and tells me: "an exception has occured." Angry

Am I doing something wrong, or is there an error in either program?

As I've only had the World of AI installer for just a few days, I'm not sure I can answer your question. I have no problems with it.

From your question, it sounds like you're installing it for the first time.  I've gone back to the installation instructions and couldn't find anything that referenced "to map it to the FS9.exe application" unless that is in reference to FS2004 Path: (seen below)

It sounds to me that WOAI is trying to find the path where fs9.exe is.

Target: Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004

Don't click on Extract files for manual installation (not sure what that does, as I've had it unclicked since I installed it).

FS2004 Path: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\ (what my path is)

I hope this helps in someway. I love WOAI and have been downloading like crazy. I hope you get it fixed.

Anyone else have any other thoughts.

That is exactly what I'm trying to do, but WoAI will not allow that. I HAVE to map to fs9.exe, and when I do, the installer crashes. That is what is ticking me off right now.

I've been having the same problem. I have tried to load it directly to FSX and gives me the same error. I have also tried to extract it manually to the desktop, and it only extracted the aircraft and scenery BGL. I have no textures or flight plans. Either way, whether direct or manual installation, the textures are not showing up in the Texture file and the flight plans are not showing up in TTools. So basically, it is not giving us all of the components to make the AI traffic appear and work properly (?!?!?!) Semper Fi, Dave
