I was just wondering if there was a way to turn off the background music on the menu, it drives me crazy.

There's a little mute button in the upper right-hand corner by the 'close' button.  Press the button that looks like a speaker and it should mute it.

There are 8 different "song" files you can switch to.

They are just a plain wav file  and are kept in  Sound> UIMusic.

You can supply your own wav file if you like.
Early on, I used a wav of a radial idleing but, even that got anoying after a while.

Anyway, it could be something to experiment with when you get really board.  Wink

I tried this, and it will not let you do it. I even changed the name to match the file names and rearagned them, and it only showed the original 8 songs, even thought they were numbered different.

It worked evert time I tried it. Even after SP1.
Are you shure you named the file correctly (FSX09.wav) and it was indeed a wav file?

It was a wav file, and I copied it exactly like the original 8. tried putting Korn and Prodigy in there and it would not play. I even copied it to the desktop and then changed the name of that file so it was compleetly new, and it did not work, but I'll try it again.
