I have Tim Conrads MI-24 Cool and I want to fix the top speed but don't know how.
I work at KGTU (Georgetown Texas) and we had a MI-24 stay with us for over two months Grin and spent lots of time talking to the pilots and know the top speed should be around 200mph and Tims MI-24 will only do around 120, Is this something easy to fix or hard? Any help would be great Smiley
Thanks
Greg

Easy stuff Greg, open the aircraft.cfg file and look for [Reference Speeds] and modify max_indicated_speed = 120 to about 200, save and go fly Wink

...
There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!

Thanks Ozzy for your reply Smiley
I have tried to make it work but no luck Cry
Anything else I need to do other then change the max_indicated_speed to 208 Undecided
Here is what it looks like

[Reference Speeds]
flaps_up_stall_speed=0.0                  //Knots True (KTAS)
full_flaps_stall_speed=0.0                 //Knots True (KTAS)
cruise_speed=155                            //Knots True (KTAS)
max_indicated_speed=208               //Red line (KIAS)

Greg,
Aircraft you can change the Thrust,Drag,Prop/Jet scholar and/or Weight a little at a time.Rotorcraft not too sure,maybe Engine Horsepower,inflow_vel_reference of the Main Rotor(more air, more lift).You could find an air/rotorcraft with close to the same speed and take a look at it's cfg file.
Good luck,
Ronnie
