Okay... speaking to the 'contraption' from now on;

[sarcasm] Congratulations. You have just managed to invent one of the most powerful, most innovative, most exciting and most multipurposeful things this world has ever known - the jet engine. And yet you still manage to look like the geezer off 'super size me'.

Your only purpose in machine-hood now is to have your wings cut off and be used as a beer can, and as Kevin's uncleaned-since-layne-did-it (joke, layne, no offense) toilet - simultaneously. Oh what fun you shall have. [/sarcasm]

Thus follwed by a fit of screaming as the poor thing is dragged off to... dun-dun-DUUHHHH...the admin board.... Smiley

No, the birth of the "jet engine" can be considered the squid. Look at its "propulsion". And the first jet powered plane was the Coanda 1910.

It wasn't really very successful though, and wasn't a "jet" in the traditional gas turbine sense, deriving its initial power from a piston engine... Smiley

This plane should be sponsored by Coke. Paint it like a coke can and fly it around the beach. But wait, how does it start up? Just give it a shake and drop it on the floor and POOF! 100knots max speed. Check it out, the first SUPER fuel efficient airplane  Cool Shocked Smiley
