Cage gallery nominations
Please put your nominations in this thread.
Pictures should be 'artistic' to some degree i.e. composed as an attractive picture rather than a record, example, quiz or whatever.
Try to take pics without messages on them, and crop out the HUD (all the game information) unless you just can't and the picture looks in your opinion really good anyway. Some games will allow you to 'switch off' game information to take screenshots, most probably won't.
Please submit your pic as a thumbnail, or without image tags... say what game it is, too.
For the moment, as we are just starting off, the pictures will be chosen by Clipper or Krigl - if it seems like it would enhance the gallery we'll put it in. We're looking for artistic merit and also VARIETY - in the
types of picture
as well as in
who made them
- so we're not going to put in 100 pics by one person however good they are
There is no limit on the amount of nominations....at the moment. Please show restraint - one every couple of days is cool
We'll add them to the gallery when we have time.
We'll run this for a couple of weeks, informally and see how it goes....Looking forward to your nominations!!

Kicking off the nominations...
For the first time ever I'm nominating one of my own - as Clipper suggested it... from Oblivion.
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/paintedd.jpg
And here's one from JetMech9297, Medal of Honor Airbourne.
http://www.simviation.com/yabbuploads/mohab02b.jpg
I know, I know, it has a plane in it...
But it's obviously not MSFS...I'd have picked one of the others but they have messages on them.

Hey Foz.... this is a flight sim site you know, it is to be expected that members want to fly planes even in other games....
The original concept was all planes in the freeware forum and none in herebut we decided that as the site was dedicated to the Microsoft simulators all non-MS stuff will simply go in here. 2 possible ways of doing it, this was the one chosen, and by the guy who keeps the site running. So that's it really....
There are tons of other sites without planes you can visit when you're sick of them on here
If you see planes just hit the green 'back' arrow and you'll be out of the thread in a flash. Let's see some of your games - Attic Attack I haven't seen for maybe 20 years, that would be cool....

An-225's shot from ARMA could be a great addition to 'Modern Warfare". Any thoughts?

Do you An-25??
It's going there, don't worry. It's a great shot. I just keep getting distracted - last night by the mother-in-law, the previous night by extreme tiredness. I'll do it today I hope!

Sorry I've been a bit slow in putting up stuff in the gallery - there's lots of very nice pics I'd like to put in but I'm really pressed for time at the moment. I hope to do it tomorrow night...
It's great to see people sharing their 'other' games and posting such fine screenshots.... Long Live the Cage!!

Thanks for the nominations chaps, they are always welcome. In the case of celtman's Halo 3 pics, they are all good, but:
Spitfire Boy - the pic you nominated is already in the Cage gallery
Machineman9 - I put three out of four shots in the gallery because they were all so spectacular... the one you nominated didn't go in, mainly because 3/4 is enough and the buggy is quite small in the pic....sorry!
Keep the nominations coming guys, when I get the free time I will deal with them!

What we're missing is some sim stuff, WW2 as well but I expect that will change. Anyone got any Ship Simulator or decent train stuff.....??

Thanks Celtman, I'll make it the featured shot for that section... getting there slowly - takes longer than one would imagine, mainly because my internet's so messed up...
Okay, Gallery updated, it's starting to look very impressive!! Shows we don't just know how to take pics of aircraft - a lot of these shot would be great publicity or box art for the games themselves!!
Next stop tomorrow and Monday - new shots for simworld in Studio V.
