I believe that is an RV-8.  Sliding canopy and straight gear as opposed to tip over canopy and sweptback gear on the -4.

Ah...I quite like it  Smiley

Not sure that any of these are quite up to Anet though.....always difficult to tell from small shots of course, but I have quite some experience of rejections  Wink

I'll just tried anyway the worst they can do is say reject it right? Undecided Tongue The real pictures are 1600x1200 so these are very compressed compared to the originals  Tongue Not bad for a 1.5 mega-pixel camera Grin

The RVs are a great series of airplane.  Not many airplanes handle so well slow or fast.  I am planning to start construction on a RV-7 this winter/spring.

By all means give it a try, but just prepare to be disappointed.

I have a 5.1 MP Fuji 5600, which gives some glorious shots, but just couldn't get the required level of sharpness for Anet.

My 10 MP Canon 400D is great, but even with a Canon lens sometimes the shots just aren't up to it, even with copious post processing in photoshop.

Have a look at this one before it falls off the back end of the rejections list. I'm not complaining, I have no beef at all with the rejection, but just as an example this was rejected for quality, contrast, dirty and soft.....

Getting shots on A.net is overrated anyway (IMHO). I stopped doing it because it was making me give priority editing to photos that were in their style, and I don't like that.

A fair point, however I do quite like the notion of having one of my photographs retained in a database as a lasting record of that aircraft at a point in time, as opposed to a single post in a forum which will get lost as the forum progresses.

At the moment it is a motivation for me to take technically good photos, and edit them well. I know they will not all fit the Anet style but with some it is worth trying anyway. Once my photos are as good as yours Steve then maybe Anet will lose it's appeal as a bar for which to aim  Wink

To this end I have (possiby foolishly) submitted the Tornado from my sig. It will get rejected for soft I am sure, but I like it so much I cannot resist trying  Roll Eyes
