Strange Beep sound (Read 597 times)

When im in the aircraft selection screen and i click on an airplane to select it for free flight, i hear this loud nintendo-ish "BEEP!" and every time i click on any other airplane i hear this sound... its as if one of my sound files has been deleted or something.

anyone come across this or know of a solution? thanks

In windows system sounds... I had disabled the "default beep" for another program, FSX looks for this sound when selecting another aircraft, if it is disabled or cannot be found you get the old atari/Nintendo style BEEP! its very loud and annoying.

so, problem fixed

Just make sure it isn't your house smoke detector. Ours went off once when I was flying. I spent five minutes looking all around the VC trying to find what was wrong. Good thing it was just smoke and not a real fire. Grin
