Sorry for this terrible "jeux de mots" Tongue

Once of the differences that can be noticed between the terrain rendering in FS9 and FSX is concerning the rocky terrain. If I understood right, the rocks are placed automatically on the terrain, everywhere the angle of the slope is high enough. In FS9, the terrain was really looking good thanks to that, even though sometimes the phenomenom was a bit exagerated.

In FSX they have made some correction to that... to another extreme unfortunately. Now it seems that we are getting rocks only on very high slope angles... As a consequence, even when adding a nice mesh, the mountains lack a bit of variety in the textures / details. Does anybody knows if there is any way to tweak that ?

I would have answered but I dont know what to say, other than waiting for the developers to release texture replacements like Ground Environment X coming soon. I never really noticed the problem but then again I just started flying on new hardware so I have been hanging around the urban hubs instead of exploring.
