We have a conclusive winner!!!

It's been more than obvious who was going to win for a while, even though all five entries are of top notch quality.

Still, here's a drumroll......

.....

.....

The SimV Official
Livery Contest Winner is
:

EGNX!!!

...

This livery is stunningly detailed, and VERY professional indeed - ideal for screenshots and flying with the logo of our favourite site!!

In second place we have:

Matt2190!!!

...

It's a much simpler scheme which still looks very good, and might be easier for repainters to reproduce if they fancied making a SimV paint and were looking for a model.

EGNX and Matt - well done!!!!

Both of your winning liveries will be displayed in the Personal Portfolios...and you are encouraged to upload them! If you guys wanted to co-operate, perhaps with John Rose and Tweek too, you could upload a combined SimV Livery Pack. Don't forget in this case to mention who is the winner - kudos well-deserved!!

The remaining entries are here:

Thanks for putting in the effort and taking part, Tweek and John Rose.
Your liveries look very fine, contain a lot of hard work, and might also be the inspiration for future repainters...

Thanks to everyone who voted!

Cheers

All really good...

As for the repainting, if we have a competition that lasts two months.....'cos a decent repaint takes a long time to do, and its also a little more relaxed, and involves less work for you Wink

.mic

PS...Just missed this comp with my C150 paint Cheesy

Sorry about that, the deadline kept being extended though and I just had to close it. About the once a month/every two months thing, the repaint contest wouldn't have a THEME or anything, some people make repaints all the time, and they would post the best of what they've done. But maybe you're right, let's see what other people think. Less work for me sounds good  Smiley

I chose the one with the highest level of detail.  Others are great, too.

What follows is a suggestion from me that I think might be a nice thing to do...

What if, now that we have a livery, the accomplised repainters on these forums (I ain't one of them) take EGNX's livery and Matt's livery and apply it to freeware models of all the major airliners - and possibly some military jets, though I'm not sure that would look quite as good...

We could end up with a 'SimV collection'... Cool Smiley
