Of course I had some stuff like this in reserve... not much in the way of good in-flight shots, but some may enjoy these...

No shortage of Grumman products this year...

...

A closer look at that fine Bearcat.

...

Closer still... I like dirty airplanes sometimes, but you have to appreciate the enormous amount of tedious work required to keep a flying antique looking like this.  Shocked

...

Not in a good spot for these, but I couldn't resist... a Bearcat takes to the sky.

...

A lone Wildcat: the Corsair gets all the adulation, but this type proved extremely capable against the formidable Japanese.  The Martlett variant also flew with the RAF against the Luftwaffe very early in the war, with good results. A very tough, nimble little fighter, although not the fastest or best-armed.
Note the rudder deflection: must be very interesting taking off in this thing behind that Twin Wasp.

...

Another serious contender in the battles of the Pacific: that Helldiver I showed earlier.
This is the only flying example of the type, as I might have already mentioned. Saw it fly, but didn't get any good pics of that, unfortunately.

...

Another legend: this Thunderbolt was the only one at the show this year, but a good representative.

...

Next: part 25- more warbirds!
