When selecting the fill for polygons there is no preview of the texture that you choose to use. Is it possible to preview the textures used in afcad and can you add your own selected textures to the existing list?

Afcad uses the default textures1 and there is no preview function.

To preview the textures you would have to use an extended bmp viewer like 'imagetool', from the Terrain SDK, or 'Dxtbmp' to open the default .bmp(s). Your other option is save the afcad file and restart the sim.

There is no way to add to Afcad's 'surface' list. You could modify the default texture but the change would be global.

You can create and place polys with default terrain or custom textures using a scenery program like Sbuilder.

Thanks for the answer Dave, I already use Dxtbmp, I can make my own texture list to view when I use AFCAD.

Many thanks
