I could see an FIA penalty, he was unfairly holding up another car. He had been released by the pitcrew. I wouldn't be surprised if Fisi gets one too for basically braking hard infront of yamamoto.

When you put it like that, yes he was. Back of the grid - if he has to cheat to get pole, send him to the back. Not the pitlane, but the back...

It's safe to say, this season is turning more into an evening soap than an F1 season.
Whats next?

And now Alonso is blaming Lewis for the whole incident. Apparently he was told to let Alonso through in the first lap of Q3, he didn't so this cost Fernando a lap. And apparently his way of getting that back was to hold himself in the pit lane Roll Eyes And apparently Fernando says, That is the reason why Ron Dennis threw his headset away some 15 mins after the event. I've just got in from work and read about this, here and on itv-F1.com and am not really surprised. Alonso has the upper hand over Lewis in my opinion, he's used to the car and tyres now and has proved that by beating Lewis and making up the point difference.

But he's still rattled by Lewis.. Why?

He's far too emotional... Tongue

I honestly dont believe it. I think they are going with that to avoid the grid penalty Alonso would get for it being intentional. Roll Eyes

That report is a typical load of Ron Dennis tosh and fudge. I like Ron, in the way he strives for perfection and will defend his drivers to the end.... but that's pure BS Ron and you know it  Angry

well hopefully the FIA still realise a drivers lap was impeded, regardless of who gave the order and as such the benifitting driver (Alonso) should be penalised.
Your right, it is the usual Ron Dennis BS. Just look at his comments after the FIA hearing regarding the appeal, "we were glad to be exhonerated, and believe we will be again" Funny that considering they were found guilty. Roll Eyes

That was quite an "interesting" session...I think that Fernando, if he keeps playing these underhand "tactics", could become the next Schumi...

Well, that article is all lies - Ron Dennis' reaction at the incident today says it all! He stormed over to Alonso's trainer, pulled his headset off and walked him away to talk about it, and then he "blames Hamilton". Riiiight... Roll Eyes

Roll Eyes

But you have to admit...he is beginning to act like Schumi did when "things didn't go his way"...

I'd actually say he's acting more like Senna or Prost, those two had an affinity of taking their respective team mates out. Okay they were each others team mates but still. Roll Eyes

Get down the bookies or onto your favourite internet betting site now... Alonso to win the world championship.
Somebody high up in the echelons of the FIA wants McLaren/Alonso to win....

And the odds will be more favourable now, before Alonso wins tomorrow.

scratch that, initial reports were incorrect.
Alonso dropped to 6th. Sort of justice at least.
