Back to part 1I think that we can agree that your picture looks a bit monochrome (‘one-coloured’) right now. That’s ok! Just determine the colour that you are missing the most and we will bring it back into your shot. We will do this in a nice and subtle way by using the diffusive glow filter. In my shot, I was missing the sky blue colour the most, so I set sky blue as my secondary colour and applied the diffusive glow filter.

Hmmm… the picture looks a tad too blue now, don’t you think? So guess what we’re gonna do about it!
That’s right! We’re going to use the fade option again!

Ain’t that pretty?

Almost finished now. Let’s adjust the colours one more time. Go back to the colour tweaking menu.

Move the sliders until you are satisfied. You might also want to experiment with the neutralize option.

Now for the very last step before we’re done. I always like to put a simple vignette effect in my pictures, just to bring the focus a bit more to the centre. Use the lense correction filter.

Tadaa! See how easy that actually was? Now give yourself a big smile and go post your shot!

I have found that this way of editing the colours almost always works to my satisfaction. It might now work on all shots though.
You can also use these techniques to create some other effects.
