First, are ya talking about fire that would simulate engine damage, or something more along the lines of an afterburner?

I mean say you press I and your engines set alight. As in fire. Not AB.

Well, if you feel comfortable enough with the aircraft.cfg files, there is an effect in FS9 called " fx_engsmoke " that you can add to the smoke section.

In the smoke section of the aircraft.cfg file, you should see three sets of numbers, seperated by commas. The first defines the effects' position up and down, the second is front to back, and the third is left and right. (I think that's right)  All numbers are in meters, and positive numbers move the effect one way, negative numbers move it the other.  You may need to play around with it for a while to get it just right. I hope this has been helpful, and good luck!  Smiley
