Irfanview: Converting bmp to jpg (Read 404 times)

Okay, I downloade Irfanview (Vueprint user for 11.5 years) and thought I was in heaven when I could convert bmp files to jpg at exacty 800X600 with 100 dpi.

The problem is that the jps are larger than 100KB and I want to post them.

What am I missing here?

Choose "save as"  ( jpeg ) and you will get a slider "Quality"

Choose less than 100%

It worked. I also cropped out that nasty menu bar. Forget it was there when I went full max with the scenery to capture these shots.

If you like Irfanview you might like this free extension for it.  Right click on any supported file type and instantly convert (copy) it to any other supported file type.
