Hey when I joined Civil Air Patrol my hair was also long. Then I got it cut. It just gets kinda cold on the drill field or on my vacations to Canada.

Looks like this is the only squadron in Crewe.... So im guessing it will be the nearest...

95 (Crewe) Squadron,
Air Training Corps
Lime Tree Avenue
Crewe
Cheshire
CW1 4JA

It doesn't list a telephone number so you'll just have to find out what nights they are active and pop in...  Wink

The ATC is based on the RAF.

Well Civil Air Patrol is based on the USAF. Except for the fact that we still have blue BDU name tape, none USAF insignia on our SAR birds and some different emblems. But that is about it.

What are ATC uniforms like?
CAP has the USAF Dress Blues (Class A jacket, Dress Mess, and Trench coat all optinal) and Battle Dress Uniform.

ATC Uniforms are the same as the RAF, but like the CAP we have different emblems etc... In the ATC theres quite alot of squadrons so they can't all be based at RAF stations, plus the fact that in some part of the country you have to travel quite a distance to get to one...

Yeah Massachusetts Wing-My Wing has only 3 squarons based at USAF bases. Then again there are only four bases. Roll Eyes

The next closest squadron to my actual squadron building is a good 45 minute drive. The hike to mine is half an hour already. And to think I wanted a transfer due to bad leadership!
