Mmmm... don't think it's going to be a problem, Double Farvel. Peformance specs for DG-808S as equipped in the image:
Max speed - 168 mph
Min sink rate - 92 ft/min
Best glide ratio - 51.5:1
Two ways of gaining altitude: 1) catch a thermal 2) catch the updraft along a mountain ridge. This bird is ridge riding and going up!

To give you an idea:
Went up in a high performance Grob with about a 40:1 glide ratio. The thermals were so good that we got off tow at 1,000 ft. instead of the usual 5,000 ft.. Caught a good one and the rate of ascent meter was pegged at it's max of 1,000 ft/min.. Got out at 13,000 ft.. Could have kept riding it up but 13,000 ft. is the max without special permission from the FAA and you can only be above 10,000 ft. for a few minutes without oxygen.
