Which file holds the info for the 3-d drawings and how do I load it into g-max? Yes, I'm new to this ha ha I want to take an existing plane from fsx or 2004 and mess around with it.

Mr. Mike,
It is not possible to take an existing aircraft model and modify it. This is to protect someone from taking someone’s model, modifying it and claiming it to be there own. I hope this makes sense.
Cheers,
Jon

You could always learn how to make your own models. It is a very rewarding experience, although it does take a lot of time and might even give you gray hair (if you don’t already have it). There are many tutorials out there that make learning the process a little easier.
Cheers,
Jon

There are, however, many other models out there that have never gotten used or have been given out for public domain use. Go to
www.freeflightdesign.com
and check out there section of downloads. Especially pay attention to Milton Shupe's stuff on there. He's one of the greatest designers of Flight Sim aircraft out there, and he has released some of his cool stuff for learning tools. You might also be interested in
www.turbosquid.com
, which has a large amount of gMax material to sift through. Also remember that you can find converters for just about any media so that you aren't locked down by having to use crude or low-grade stuff that was specifically created in gMax.

Makes sense but I was going to ask for someone to take the orginal Cessna 172 from FSX and get them to make it have wheel spats/pants/fairings, whatever you call them.
Ow well!!!
