I hit a wall... (Read 882 times)

...at 2.7GHz. CPU doesn't seem to want to go past that. nTune is buggy on me and the BIOS has the CPU clock stuff locked out. nTune managed to get it to 2.69 just fine on 1.36v or something, but as soon as it hit 2.7, bam...nothing. Are there any good tools for overclocking on an EVGA board? Kinda wish I had an asus just for AI Booster. Ah well...

So have you tried increasing your Vcore any? Was this a custom build? you may require a BIOS flash.

Yeah, I just never increased the voltage. Got it to 3.4 stable.

Very nice, im working on 3 Ghz now with my Opteron, I just ordered me some parts to set up a decent little WC loop for it. Can't wait to get rid of my big XP-120

Yup, 3.52Ghz stable. Runs nice, stays at about 42c idle, no more than 50c under load. Voltage is at 1.61 I think.
