Hi all

I would like to have a go at designing a gauge that would,  have a series of lights that would start from empty to full, to simulate a fixed wing aircraft taking on water or crop-dusting aircraft taking on fertilizer and then using the smoke key (I) to drop the load ,the lights on the panel would go from full back to empty, so when you landed and came to a full stop you ould pressthe load botton on  the gauge and it would then start to refill to simulate  the load been applied
I would Like the simulated drop to take about one and half minutes.
You would activate the gauge by pressing  the on botton and de activate by pressing off and  when you landed pressing the load button the gauge would simulate the load refilling.

Here is the gauge I have designed ...
Do you start with the bitmap image and then programme the gauge or is it not that easy

Cheers

Hi Hsv
First up what you want to do can be done in xml Smiley
Its going to be hard to explain in a simple message here.I would suggest that you have a look at the xml gauge tuts in the tut section here http://www.fs2x.com/
next
have a look at this
http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=122&topic_id=20974&mesg_...
whilst it deals with oxygen system it shows how to use L:vars to empty/refill
if thats all to daunting do a search for some fs9 gliders that have a ballast dump gauge, most I have seen are C++ gauge files(.gau) but you might find a sample xml code one

and finally do a search for crop dusting effects there may be a controller gauge that you could use learn from
cheers

Thanks Wozza
I will start reading and see how it goes. I will use the bitmap I made,  If it works I'll looking at posting it if it's good.
