the fx_engstrt is not a custom light effect is locate in effect  section ?

does i have to made a special light in the light effect to position it or there an other option to do ?

It's relatively easy,

Example:

smoke.0 = -1.72, -23.29, -45.66, fx_smoke_effect  =smoke.0 =
X
,
Y
,
Z
, fx_smoke_effect

Just change the values of X,Y,Z shown where the coordinates are to finalize your effects position.

ok but if you check in an aircraft.cfg the engstartup fx does have x,y,z and is not in the smoke section but in effect section ?

so if i change the smoke parametre in smoke section i will change the engstartup position in effect section also ??? Undecided

Sorry the X,Y,Z represent positions 'in design terms' '

X= is length position Positive variable for forward and negative for aft position.

Y= needs to be moved side to side - is left + number is right

Z= Height negative value means lower positive means higher.

I don't understand your second question, other then if it's another effect just add smoke.1 then smoke.2 etc. Wink

Woodylepic,

What aircraft are you working with? Because it is in the effects section like the touchdown and other effects, I suspect that the effect is coded to use the coordinates of the engine. These are located in the “General Engine Data” section of the aircraft cfg. If you have not already, you could try adding the numbers like mentioned above even if the other effects don’t have them. I don’t know if it will work but it might be worth a try.
