I could use a few pushes in the right direction here. First off, how do I get the gauges to come on? I have read the manual, but it is a bit in depth for me. I have the APU turned on, the battery engaged, and engines on. I can fly the plane well. I used to go over to a friends apartment who had it, but I wanted my own copy. We often worked as a team, working through the checklists. He would also almost always take care of pre-flight prep and taxi, while I took care of fuel management, takeoff and landing. I was never as good at the gauge stuff, so he took care of it. Ahhhh memory lane...

PS. Should this be in the payware section?

Yes it should  Wink

Unfortunately, I don't know anything about the PMDG744.

Luckily for you, it's fairly popular here  Wink

Well, this is pretty much the basic start up procedure: (If you are using the saved panel state @ KPAE)

Battery > ON
Aux Power selector > AUTO
APU Switch >  ROTATE TO START, THEN RELEASE, WAIT (40?!) SECONDS, WHEN 2 APU GEN 'AVAIL' LIGHTS ILLUMINATE, CLICK BOTH (try to do them in quick succession to prevent virtual gear box damage  Grin)
IRS > OFF, THEN NAV, THEN ALIGN
All Fuel Pumps > ON

Once the IRS' have aligned (watch the time decrease in the top left hand corner of centre EICAS screen) turn the switches to the left, to NAV, then the artifical horizon should appear  Wink

I did that from memory so something may be left out, however that is the basic procedure!

I think he means all displays, are none of the gauges coming up? Or is it just the CRT/LCD displays with the MCP working...?

Good point, I thought that he meant that the artificial horizon wasn't showing up, which usually happens if the IRS' haven't aligned  Roll Eyes
