Hey all,

I just downloaded The P51D Civilian Package and I was wondering if there was anyway I can add the GPS that is in the Cessna 172 because it would make cross country flights a little easier. Just wondering if this is possible and how to do this.

Cheers,
Bill

It can be added by editing the panel.cfg

Or.. you might get lucky and the existing panel already has it.

Try hitting "shift+3"

I'll try that Brett. I cant get the GPS to come up by Shift 3 so I guess I'll have to try to get it with the panel config. Thanks alot.
P.S- Going to Oshkosh this year?

I downloaded and looked at the panel.cfg for a P-51 in the FSX vinatage .. and the GPS widow was there. I'll install it and fly it tomorrow and see what I come up with.

And yes... I've already reserved a plane for the Oskosh trip.. Though this time I'm not gonna camp at KOSH.  I'll fly in, in the morning and fly out at night, to Green Bay, and stay with friends. No A/C; waking up in rain puddles and community showers wore me out..  lol

Try running through the numbers whilst holding shift & see what windows come up - not all add-on planes have the same key assignments.

Thanks I got it,

Yeah I dont blame you. Last year the storm on Sunday morning was pretty severe. I moved back home to La Crosse, Wisconsin which is 3 hours away and I work at Colgan Air Services as Lineman. I plan on camping at Oshkosh with my girlfriend and my brother. You'll have to swing by for a burger.

Cheers,
Bill

I'll try to take you up on that. Last year, there were quite a few SimV members at Oshkosh and we never crossed paths (I was pretty easy to find.. green/white C177RG in the campgrounds by the Hilton).

I'm gonna start a  "Going to Oshkosh ?"  thread soon and we can all touch base there.   Smiley

I also want to spend some time on the holy grounds of Lambeau  Wink
