Because the picture is actually not from a private A380. The interior is meant for first class. Private A380 would be fancier.

Why would you want that? You can't really go to many cities or anything
I'd rather have something along the lines of a BBJ or 727, there is a lot more versatility.

The width - 353 cm at widest, much less than that at head level - is restrictive.
767, A310, DC-10 and Tristar are much more versatile. And do not have the footprint of an A380.

Id take a good old 172!
Of course, if I had to get a private airliner, you can be sure as hell its designation would start and end with 7.

I'd get lonely on the A380. Call to your flight attendendent...
"Could I get some coffee?"
"Sure thing sir, I'll be right back"
2 HOURS LATER
"Here's your coffee, sorry it's a little cold"
"What took so long"
"The walk to the front of the plane is a long one..."

It was actually initially marketed as the 717.
Besides, I was raised in the two-crew cockpit age.

A380-800 cannot match the length, much less the legroom, of either A340-600 or B777-300.
Anyway, you would have flight attendants closer, at least some of them. Under both FAR and JAR rules, the number of flight attendants depends on the number of seats - 1 attendant per each 50 seats. An A380-800 is a 853 seat plane, so you have to have 18 flight attendants at all times. Even if there is just 1 passenger in the whole plane somewhere in the back of coach section.

I don't think he ment it that literally. As for the legroom, it's all about pitch. A 32 inch pitch (assuming the same seat) gives you the same amount of leg room in a E190 as a 777. But in this case its irrelavant, because the customer isn't trying to squish 500 people on board.
