If anyone mentions the A-10A Warthog, I kill you.  Wink

As for "Ugly", I personally think the X-32 takes the cake here...

I'm not sure that anything that flies can be called ugly. Unconventional perhaps &, as I've said many times before, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There are some contraptions that only a mother designer could love & the Stipa Caproni takes some beating. IMHO

My god Doug Shocked That Stipa Caproni sure is a weird looking beast, ugly? Oh dear lord yes! But I think I'd still have one for the sheer comedy value, imagine that at a fly-in Grin Grin

Cheers,

I have will never understand how that fugly beriev could fly, with such small wings in comparison to the rest of the plane. But to me, the next ugliest plane is the constellation http://www.conniesurvivors.com/pictures/N6904C-12Sep52.jpg
Eww the nose wheel always gives me the creeps.
The 757 is of course the prettiest though!

You should definately try to fly the 757 once. it's like a rocket!

Just goes to prove what I said. The Super Connie is regarded by many (including me) as the most beautiful propliner ever built.

Maybe not the best looking propliner, but it's certainly not ugly! I prefer the look of the Super Constellation, myself.

As for the 757, that's just a tube with wings stuck on it!

There aren't any ugly aircraft, just terribly goofy looking aircraft, like the Curtiss-Goupil Duck: http://www.fortunecity.com/tattooine/farmer/120/duk.html

If it even flies in the first place, I'd say the pic of the red compact car with wings stuch on it would qualify as the ugliest aircraft I've ever seen.

Oh sorry, I misread. I also got mixed up, not realising there were short nosed Super Constellations.

I prefer the long nosed types. Wink

No problemo. I thought the one in the photo was a Super Connie but I could be wrong. I don't see how either could be called ugly by any stretch of the imagination. Roll Eyes

Grrrrrrrrroooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

You'll learn to love the 'Hog if you've seen that sweet, sweet machine of death and destruction in action (Mmmmmmmm... GAU-8).

Just the sound of it, and the sound of that beast of a cannon firing, is enough  Grin
