That's a crazy technique
Cool in a photo, harder to accept in a screenshot if you don't know what the author was trying to achieve - still think it looks odd with the 'dogfight', but otherwise a wonderful shot. Any chance of a link to the Anet shot?

Thanks for sharing those Sytse, they're really great!
Some of the comments are worth reading too, including #2's "So much for Digital" (WTF?) and #4's "Almost terrestrial in an urban way".
What are these Anerd guys on?
I'd still love to see the model for that edit though, come on Akeboshi/Tako, let's see it!

It's a long (like, several minutes) exposure photo. It captures the whole movement of the plane from ground to sky, so the lights look like a continuous line with the strobes blinking on and off. But it does look like a runway to the sky, to be sure.
Ah. Heatny, I've just read the quotes in your sig. You are obviously bonkers Bhoutros Ghali.... congratulations, and welcome (belatedly) to the V. Now your post makes complete sense

'So much for digital'... I guess at the guy didn't know you can do this with a digital camera. Most digicams can't though.
You get the other comment, don't you?
BTW. All the pics are very real and not edited. Well, maybe the colours are edited a bit, but that doesn't take away the main idea.
