Studio V – Screenart Central!
So, here we are, the new Studio well underway and progress being made. Everyone involved is doing a great job of keeping the Studio V machine running well, articles and competitions running like clockwork and advice being sought…and found! All other facets of the Studio, including the Welcome Center, appear to be being used well to find the certain articles avaiable to you.
Just what has been going on deep within the Studio?
Yes indeed, a long anticipated competition opens up, available to anyone who thinks they’ve got what it takes to edit to victory. A panel of judges (including 9thSimplex, a screenartist guru that has recently joined our SimV ranks) will watch the entries coming in hot and fast over the two months that the competition is open and then decide who shall win the payware Glasair III for first prize! Second prize is the World’s Largest Crossword, good if you want a way of relaxing…trouble is, this thing is massive! Third prize is a disk set of “The Shmenge’s Greatest Hits” (Unfortunately this is only a joke prize.

)
Here, writer Mictheslik has chosen a page at random from the SimV downloads section and reviews certain aircraft, scenery etc on the page. This time it was
FS2004 Vintage page 34, and there are some real gems to be found on the page. See Mics article for advice on what’s hot and what’s not!
Writer Stuart1044 produces articles on all things screenshot-related, and this time it’s the weather. He explains in detail how a few simple cloud formations can totally change a shot. He also posts a few examples of screenart showing weather effects that can be found on the V, and then asks you to try out the methods learned in the article.
Theis, our very own Hotshot editor, scans the forums in search of two fantastic shots to be featured – one edited, and one raw. Although this certain Hotshot (featuring two amazing images from Double_Farvel and Waspiflab) is about to expire and another Hotshot is on the way – keep your eyes peeled!
The gates to Screenart heaven, closely guarded by Krigl and the Gallery judges have stayed open for a second consecutive week, as he's trying to attract more entries by making it a bi-weekly feature. So, do you know of a shot worthy of going into the coveted Gallery? If you do, head down to the Gallery gates and let us know about it!! Post it!
Clickable Thumbnails…Hagar’s Way
A few of you have still had trouble with posting thumbnails. Well, a rare visit to the Studio from seasoned SimV member Hagar should set you on the right lines!
Screenartist Master Seminars
A new ingredient here thrown into the Studio V cooking pot – MSN messenger’s multi conversation function is used so a group of those willing to learn from masters of screenshooting or editing can get together and talk…much like a meeting. Although the first Seminar, with 9thSimplex as Master Screenartist, is full, keep your eyes open as more and more should open up, each time featuring a different aspect of screenshooting and image editing.
And there you are – this is the oil the keeps the Studio V machine in perfect running order. We’re now happily cruising along at the Studio, with lots to do and learn…this is the place to be when you need screenart or image processing help!
