What stage have you got to? Are the shots resized to 800pixels in width and below 100k in weight?

If so then it's just a case of uploading to SIMV via the upload page .... to do that click on the UPLOAD IMAGES button towards the top of the page. Follow the instructions and then C+P the resulting image tags into the appropriate forums.

If you still haven't resized etc then use infranview to manipulate the images to within the limits.

as you will see its .jpg only...

Am not at home right now so don't have irfanview in front of me at the moment. but when you save a shot you are able to save it as a a jpg file.  There are some tags underneath the screen where you can select where you want to save them. one of them opens a little extra menu in which you can choose the quality you want to save them with to get the max quality and filesize closest to 100 kb..

If you can't figure it out I'll try to help you better nexttime.

There was a tutorial by Omag on irfanview at the top of the freeware section... seems to be gone now... Mods?

This might get you started, pick up Irfanview and try it out. If you need more info, c'mon back.. Wink

One value eg. 800 x 600, is a completely different value than the weight of your pic eg. 100k

800 x 600 is the height and width of your pic (in pixels), 100k (in bytes) is the weight.
To upload to SimV, the pic had to be 100k in WEIGHT or less. You can change this value for any pic you wish to upload, with a simple image processor like Irfanview, available here at the V.

So, you can have a pic 800 x 600 and save it as a jpeg at 100k, then re-save the same 800 x 600 pic as 50k for example. The image quality of the 50k pic would be inferior to the 100k pic. The trick is to size your pic to 800 x 600, a standard SimV size, then save it as close to 100k as you can with Irfanview to acheive the best possible quality.

You can find Irfanview here: http://www.simviation.com/fsutilities_gen3.htm about halfway down the page. Look it over and if need be, come back with more questions. We'll straighten you out sooner or later.. Wink
