IMO the gray colors in this one are quite nice, what do you think?

You're right, Mees, sometimes the simple shots like these are a really nice change.  The one thing I would have done different is I would have taken it a bit more from the side-on.

I like the second one much better than the first. It shows more airport scenery and traffic in the background. You can also see more detail on the aircraft.

I agree with Matt here Mees, the second one is by far the better of the two. It adds more feeling to the image as we can see some AI and the airport buildings, tucking away neatly into the fog - also because we are looking at the aircraft side-on, it gives it a more 3D feel instead of making it look somewhat flat like in the first image.
If you really wanted to make that shot a stunner, you could play with the time of day, perhaps get a fantastic orange glow in the fog or likewise..... Smiley

Lovely shots, im quite partial to a bit of fog!

They do look simple but to pull them off perfect there is a bit of to be done, especially with the angle Smiley

Yup, that's exactly what I mean Mees Wink.

Sometimes shots look great taken directly head-on (0 degrees in Recorder), but in a situation like this I would say it looks better this way.  The view in the second lets you see more scenery even through the fog.

Ugh, the angles are so....blergh.  Overdone in my opinion, too weird.   Good concepts though, I like the fog in the first one

Well, I'm going to differ from the rest Mees, I really like the first one with the lights of the runway dissappearing into the fog behind. The second is also nice, but a more common shot. Also, looks like your aoa is a bit high in the second.... could be just an illusion though.
