Personally, I'm still partial to the widebody trijets: L1011, DC10, MD11.
Those planes had character.

Lockheed Tristar. The Busses are fat wales that eat gas like a american at mcdonalds. The Boeings are to generic. Oh and I also like the CRJ 40.

Tbh I wouldn't call the Tristar modern. Great plane, but outdated.

My favorite airliner is the DC-10 at this point, but, seeing as it is not in production anymore...
My favorite is the Airbus A340.

Quite like both the Tristar and the VC10 (nearly modern
). Like the A330 and A340 - very graceful - sadly a sentiment wich can't be appiled to the 767, although the 777 was an improvement...
