"Moved: News on my KATL Scenery"   moved?! (Read 1323 times)

Perhaps someone could be kind enough to explain to me how I has "discussing or recommending other sites" in that post?
It sounded more like I was Generally Speaking about a scenery. That change I spoke about in the thread (Which apparently was moved for no apparent reason...) could potentially cause a bit of a confusion around the FS community, was just trying to clear up some things.

I would rather it just be deleted now... really, I do.  Thanks! Smiley

Now the time has come for me to close my mouth before Staff pulls out the Big guns.  Shocked

I've read that first post of yours, and it really belongs to "Other sites". It's Avsim we're talking about, aren't we?
If, say, you'd made some shots of the scenery and opened a thread in "Freeware screenshots", adding as a postscriptum that the new version was now available, I doubt the thread would have been moved. And perhaps more people would have noticed it. Just a suggestion...  Wink

He who has the desire to comment on SIMV policy should read carefully the agreement that they sign up to when opening an account, as the sign up page clearly states that all images must be uploaded to the SIMV server.

It has been stated by Fridaychild advertising your scenery, which is uploaded at Avsim tends to get your post moved to "Other Sites" no matter what sim it is for.

Aye,
He who hath linked shots from other sites is strictly forbidden here at Simviation.
Also, he hath promotes things that are on other sites,  {cough cough.. Avism}, clearly breaks the law of the land and shall receive 10 lashings while strapped to the village square's lashing pole.........

But since the thread has been moved to its proper forum, the administration of this land will let this one slide.......  Grin

Huh Whats the big deal about having to upload pictures to SimV? It's not like it takes 5 working days to do.

If you haven't got enough spare time in the day to upload a few pictures, then maybe you shouldn't be wasting your precious time surfing internet forums either  Roll Eyes

Care to explain why you think the policy is "dumb"?

Basic reason behind the policy:
The policy is there for people who have 56K, so they can actually load threads that people running T1 take for granted. It regulates the load times, and prevents seeing all those "X" images when the other website stops working.
