Just a few comings and goings of F-15s today, one of which was painted in desert camo. I have never seen this before...

As I was leaving the Petro truckstop to return home, I saw a truck pulling a trailer that had one of those enormous decals on its side, covering the whole side. The truck apparently was sponsored or owned by Boeing, becuase the decal was about the new KC-767 aerial tanker that I assume is coming down the line soon. It had three pictures on it. One was of an F-22 being refueled as if you were looking down at it from above; the second and largest picture was the aircraft being shown from in front and from about the 2 o'clock position with two long fuel lines streaming out from its wingtips, refueling two F-22s; and the last picture was of the flight deck, taken as if you were standing between the pilots' seats. I like the flight deck picture...

Where are you located?  I believe Israel flies some desert camo '15's.  Notice a blue star of david by any chance?  I'm not sure if the instructor squadron at Red Flag flies F15s at all but if they do I wouldn't be suprised if they were painted desert camo like their F16's.  The only US regular F15 that would be painted camo would be an E I suppose, but those are usually painted dark gray for night combat.

I thought some Red Flag instructors flew camo'd F-15's for Red Flag as Mock Su-27's? Maybe they were a squadron from an allied country coming to participate in the next one?
