A friend just showed me this program and i think its great for a freeware image editor.  http://www.getpaint.net/index2.html
I wanted to show this to everyone and also was wondering if anyone one else was using it.

Tried Paint.net and GIMP, the latter won because of its similarity to Photoshop.

No, it's way better than paint. It's somewhere between paint and photoshop and a good alternative for people who can't afford photoshop or paint shop pro. Gimp is also freeware though, and it's better than paint.net from what I've heard...

ok just installed gimp and first impression are that its a very impressive piece of freeware and better than paint.net by far. so go for GIMP and its closer to photoshop and features alot more tools.
