The only way to change the sound of a plane to a more realistic one is to download and install new sound set files for the plane to be used. Just go browsing around on SimV and other add-on sites on the net (using the search option helps too). There are sounds for almost any plane around, you only have to download them. Smiley

this is what i found; http://www.fsdownload.com/tutorials/747tutorial/747%20Sound%20Configuration/Real...

You just need to do the following steps:

- Make a copy of your default 747-400 SOUND folder (b747_400\sound) -- back it up as "SOUND_ORIGINAL".

- Go to the b737_400 folder and copy the SOUND folder to your B747_400 directory.

- Now copy the new SOUND.CFG file provided with this tutorial to your B747_400\SOUND folder (Windows will ask you to overwrite a file, say YES.)

- Done! Now load up FS2002 or FS2004 and enjoy your new sounds!

> You'll notice that these new interior (cockpit) sounds are louder and more pleasant to hear on those long flights. The exterior sounds are high-pitched, as on the real-world 747-400.

Please take note that this doesnt work on FSX, sorry  Embarrassed

Hope it helped  Grin
