Mercedes Benz 190 (Read 668 times)

Hello fellow SimV members,

I am currently looking for a car to replace my old Ford Sierra 2.0 GLX. I got interested in a Mercedes Benz 190 1.8 E build in 1991. Petrol engine, not diesel, 4 speed gear box. Anybody have experiences with this type of car? Are there known problems? The car has done almost 200.000 km but has no problems with rust and looks very good.

Thanks in advance,

Crash Wink

Hundred thousands of Germans (most of turkish origin) can't be wrong. Wink

Honestly, go for one of them. They're said to be nearly indestructible (if properly maintained).

Thanks for the replies. I was already half convinced to buy one since I saw a lot of them (and the old 200 model) driving around in Africa. Most of them are ready for demolition yet they keep on going. So a MB 190 it will be then.

My uncle said that the 190 was the best sedan he had driven so far. He really regretted selling it for a BMW 320i Coupé which broke down quite often.
Anyways, he now drives a 1986 Porsche 911 and is a happy as he could be.

LOL Ivan. Translation of his comment: Ultimate Turkish People Car. You're right, a lot of Turkish people drive it. But I don't care, I'm just looking for a good car.
