So no, I was not speaking to you.  Wink

9800 iceq, 1gb ram.
It all depence on your running programs, wins fancy settings and services.
Theres a lot of topics about this.

P3.2 Dual Core
2gb Memory
nvidia 7900 500mb SLI X2
And FSX runs like SH ONE T.
FS9 rules and it also has better geographical detail.
Second largest lake (loch Erne) in Ireland has vanished.
I feel that I have been microshafted.

OK guys you've cheered me up. Grin I will persevere with fsx. I will eat some of Mobius's cake , try Daubes settings and learn to love it.
I know anything much above 20fps is good and above what the human eye can see but its the turns wot gets me mad Angry Stutter stutter. Saw the perfect rig at Alienware. £6200 with the 42 inch HD screen with quad 8800 graphic cards. Now I really am losing it   Wink

Just tell me what you've done for now, and I will try to tell you what is missing or what is wrong.
What you can see on my screens is what I get after tweaking. Without tweaks, with the same visual settings at the same place, I would get only 4 FPS and a lot of noise coming from my hard drive...

I have been tweaking FSX as best as i can with my rig and I am still getting 6-8fps I know I need to purchase another GB of memory But right now I think I have to follow what someone said about dropping all the sliders to minimum or medium settings. As great as I would like to think my PC is, I think I will stay in FS9 for a while more until I can get the upgrades necessary to enjoy I flight without the hicups and stuttering and lag that i am dealing with right now with FSX.
