Don't know anything about the reliability of this site.
I picked up the link from the Totalflightsim.com page, posted on 22 DEC.

It indicates that DX10 release will be delayed. No specifics.
I am trying to keep up with this stuff, as I am planning to migrate to Vista, myself.
If I see anything else, I will post it, if anyone else has usefule info, post a link.

The Inquirer has been known to print rumors without verifying and then be forced to print a retraction later, although they do also print good news too.

One of the members who was better connected in these forums and is currently on hiatus has mentioned many times that purchase of a DX10 video card and supporting system prior to May of next year could be a huge mistake.

The 8800 cards Nvidia pushed on the market may very well be as slow under DX10 as a top of the line Nvidia or ATI DX9 card was when they were first released.

I am planning my upgrades around the summer of 07 based on the information I have read. DX10 was never delayed. It ships with Vista. What is delayed is the use of it in game technology which is based on the final versions of all the cards from the major players on the market being delivered to the developers for DX10 patches to be finalized for release.

The 8800 cards will most likely be the slowest on the market for DX10 by the time DX10 patches are ready for distribution.

Why are you reading the tabloids? Huh

I would understand if you read the tabloids just to see how rediculous it would be. But if you read the tabloids just for information, then you might as well visit the nearest psychiatric ward and sign up for a nice room.

Computer related Tabloids.

Can imagine  the headlines...
"Microsoft Vista to cause Apoclypse",
"The Pope uses a Mac to email God",
"Man piloting Flight Sim Abducted by Simulated Aliens"

Anyway, like I said I plan to migrate to Vista. Not planning on changing my GPU card for a few months. Going to get a new HD and another gig of RAM first. GPU will have to wait a few months for buget reasons, but waiting for technology to fully gel is as good a reason as any.
