After two years of running fine, my photoshop cs decided to show me this error message:
"Memory could not be allocated for the activation process. Please close all applications and try again"
I've got 30g hard disk left, running 1g ram, defrag daily, anyone have any idea why this is happening? Out of nowhere....

Sounds like you have used up all your RAM, next time that error appears see if your RAM levels are low.
I have used PS on computers with a gig or more and after a few hours of playing it will suck it dry.

this happens to me sometimes when running fs9. Increase your paging file size. this should do it.

by the way- photoshop works great on my rig (with only 12.5 gigs left)

Somewhere there is an option to set the "scratch disc" to a secondary hard disc if you have one or another partition...supposedly this is recommended for better performance.... Wink
